A Great Partnership!
We would like to thank the Michael's Organization for their generous donation to cover the construction for our center. This is a wonderful partnership that will allow us to open our doors and continue our efforts to offer a creative oasis here in Camden; and is right in line with the Michael's Organization's mission to "...bring comprehensive solutions to communities that jumpstart housing, education, civic engagement, and neighborhood prosperity."

The IDEA Jazz Cafe
The IDEA Center for the Arts is an intimate setting, and a perfect place to come and listen to small jazz ensembles play straight ahead, fusion or smooth jazz. Artists from all over the tri-state area are excited about bringing their jazz music to the center! So, if you like to listen to live music, or you have a band that performs, the IDEA Jazz Cafe is the best place to be
IDEA Open Mic
People all over long for an opportunity to unleash their inner voice. Having access to a venue that provides that chance to give rise to their voice, test out new material, or to simply let their hair down from a challenging work week, is a benefit! Open Mic night at the Center for the Arts is that venue!
Independent Films Series
The film series is open for local artist, actors, and film makers to come and showcase their films. The series will feature adult films as well as films for youth. The series is also dedicated to educating and enlightening our youth thru exposure to acting, filmmaking, producing and directing and will give them a voice to express their views. It will also offer film conferences, live entertainment, popcorn and beverages, and social events where movie goers can meet movie makers and actors.

Our Vision
The IDEA Center for the Arts will serve as a cultural gathering place to celebrate the arts in all of its forms. We hope that the IDEA Center for the Arts will also serve as an exhibition, arts education and performance space where talented and diverse artists can inspire, strengthen, support, unite and enlighten the community through their performances and exhibitions and serve as a home for many emerging, established as well as struggling artist in Camden and throughout the region.
Purpose
The club provides a support platform for all of those who are involved in the arts to meet, create, display and circulate their art whether its music, dance, theater, visual arts, media and more.. By Offering monthly workshops, presentations, master classes and creative opportunities, club members get to meet other artist through networking, collaboration and discovery. The club also gives artist frequent access to the centers amenities such as our multi media labs and performance stage.
Other Amenities Include
- A cozy space to work out your creativity in an intimate art studio.
- A chance to work with IDEA’s creative staff to support you in your creative endeavors
- Opportunity to utilize our Sound/Music Studio, Graphic Design Studio, TV Production Studio and Performance Stage,
- Opportunity to create Podcasts, Live Stream your show, Compose and rehearse your new song, teach a class or exhibit your work.
- Participate in our Artist/Vendor POP UP Shop
- Sell and exhibit your Creative Products in our Artist Merchandise Store
- Chance to facilitate our monthly workshops and discussion meetings on creative subjects.
- Virtual Workshops also facilitated by IDEA Staff and Guest Artist from around the world
- Some Fees apply for the use of equipment as well as Weekly, Monthly and Yearly Rental of Co work space.
